Program Overview

The Occupational Certificate: Occupational Health and Safety Officer (NQF Level 4) is a nationally recognised qualification registered on the Occupational Qualifications Sub-Framework (OQSF) and overseen by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations.

This programme equips learners with the knowledge, practical skills, and workplace experience required to promote and maintain a safe and healthy working environment across various industries such as construction, manufacturing, mining, and services.

The qualification prepares learners to:

  • Identify workplace hazards and assess risks
  • Implement health and safety policies and procedures
  • Monitor compliance with legislation such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act
